07/03/14 – Paper Manipulation

The second textiles session of this project was spent cutting out different templates both onto card, paper and then onto fabric. By cello taping the paper samples in specific areas I could visualise how fabric can be manipulated to create a three dimensional structure. I was hoping to create these effects using fabric and a sewing machine but ran out of time – this will need to be completed independently.
