My first project is called ‘Self Portrait’ and unfortunately for me I’m starting off with textiles (the first year of my course is a diagnostic year, so it’s time to faff around with medias I know I’m terrible at) and I feel his work is relevant in that his brush strokes look almost collage like. Perhaps I’m just desperately trying to look for any way possible to avoid textiles, or I just jumped at the opportunity to look at his work. Either way he’s just wonderful.
