Spectacular Light Installations by Bruce Munro

Bruce Munro is a British Installation artist, and most probably my favourite installation artist. His installations leave you speechless; his use of light to delicately transform a landscape is just magical, and that’s just from looking at photographs; I can’t even imagine how mesmerising seeing such a large quantity of twinkling lights gently swaying in the breeze, changing colour and making a wooded area glow would be! Munro is best known for his installation ‘Field of Light’ (my absolute favourite installation ever), consisting of 6,000 acrylic stems topped by clear glass spheres, each laced with optic fibre. He also produces brilliant lighting designs and sculptures, but it’s mainly his installations that I’m drawn to – perhaps it’s the scale of this work that I find so breathtaking.
